The recommended shots are tetanus-diphtheria, Hepatitis A and B, Measles and mumps Rubella, Typhoid and Yellow Fever. There are no serious threats, but these are for precaution. There is a plant, much like Canada’s Poison Ivy, called the Manchineel tree, it has poisonous apple like fruit, and also the sap is poisonous as well and can cause severe blistering and is painful. There are only 6 public hospitals and 3 private hospitals available, but the health care is sufficient if needed.
